Our Story

We never meant to make a whiskey brand…

Our story is a bit unconventional, because we never intended on making a whiskey brand. Our team was developing other people’s spirits before Doc Swinson’s was born.

Doc Swinson’s evolved from a pet project. Our collection started in 2017 with 10 casks, a small warehouse, and a love for blending and finishing.

Since then we’ve continued to grow and grow and grow. We discovered that the more we put into Docs, the more it gave out. It's the labor of love and exploration of flavors that make Docs whiskey so unique.

Doc Swinson’s is located in Washington State, where the PNW climate pays homage to European traditions and lends itself to creating really, really good whiskey.

TASTING ROOM: Currently we do not have a tasting room, but keep your eyes out for one in the future.. Plans to bring a tasting room to WA are at the forefront of our minds.

Doc Swinson's is at the forefront of a whiskey renaissance happening in America. We are proud to be among the groups leading this transformation, not just doing a good job but excelling at it. Our goal is to get more people interested in American whiskey, and it's working.

Non-whiskey drinkers often try Docs and are wowed; that’s why we do what we do. In essence, we want to expand the conversation about what can be done with American whiskeys.

Each whiskey brought in is personally tasted by the four of us at Doc Swinson’s. If it’s good we will find a place for it in either the Alter Ego, Exploratory or Core Series.
