What began as a bold experiment when we uncovered a cache of rare Bourbon barrels has become an exploration spanning the globe to find just the right barrel, blend, and maturation point. 

Doc’s is the flavor of far off lands and nearly forgotten traditions blended with the familiarity of home. It’s the discovery of dusty things left high upon old shelves and locked behind hidden doors, now reclaimed and renewed.

Like heirlooms and legends passed down from generation to generation, a bottle of Doc’s is brimming with the nuance and subtlety that only time and maturity can impart.

THE PNW HIGHLANDS

Doc Swinson’s proudly calls Ferndale, Washington home.

Tucked up in the far northwest corner of the country between the Cascade Mountains and the Salish Sea, on the wild yet mild edge of North America, the climate is reminiscent of Scotland — the misty motherland of whisk(e)y.

This notable similarity gives the whiskey we finish and blend here a symphony of curious characteristics that distinguish it from whiskeys aged in more common climates.
