GOLDEN HOUR CELEBRATED AS ONE OF THE WORLD'S BEST FINISHED WHISKIES

3rd Consecutive Year That Doc Swinson's Named "Top 5" At The San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Golden Hour Ranked top 5 finished whiskey in the world

In a blind tasting against the finest finished whiskies in the world at this year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), Doc Swinson's Golden Hour Rye was selected as one of the Top 5 Finished Whiskies in the world.

One of the oldest and most widely entered spirits competitions on the planet, the SFWSC is considered The Oscars of the global spirits community. Thousands of the world's top brands, some of them hundreds of years old, compete every year in a series of blind tasting rounds judged by spirits experts from around the globe.

This year Doc's put Golden Hour up against the best of the best in the Finished Whiskey category, coming away with two "Double Gold" medals and ranking as one of the top five finished whiskies in the world.  This is a huge honor, and clear recognition that something curious and special is going on at Doc Swinson's.

This is a whiskey that will pique any new connoisseurs curiosity.

Golden Hour, bursting with flavors that unfurl on your palate, is a double rye whiskey aged for 7+ years in white oak and finished in ex-rum cask solera and port casks.

Golden Hour was a labor of exploration and curiosity, bringing together new flavor combinations of rye, rum, and port.

This blend took a long time and many different pieces. We challenged ourselves to create something we had never created before, which really paid off with an unlikely but powerful blend.

Its versatile and approachable, at a lower proof without compromising on flavor.

We hope that drinking Golden Hour will help people become even more curious about what Rye whiskey can be.

DOC'S IS ON A ROLL.

Remarkably, this is the third year in a row that an expression from Doc’s has been being ranked in "Top 5" Finished Whiskies at the SFWSC, up against thousands of whiskies of all kinds (Scotch, American, Australian, Japanese, Canadian, and more) in a category where Rye whiskey is often overlooked.

Most of the whiskies we were up against were older and more expensive than Golden Hour, and some of the brands have been around for centuries, so this ranking really shows that we are redefining what American whiskey can be.

OUR CURIOSITY IS PIQUED, IS YOURS?

This award has opened up new corridors we were always curious, but a little scared, to take.

We are excited to see what we'll put out for next year's SFWSC as we keep striving for innovation and exploration.

Whatever we create, you can trust us to continue to focus on making exceptional whiskey consistently, for anyone who is curious about whiskey.

If you are just getting into whiskey or already consider yourself a whiskey nerd, we're certain that exploring Golden Hour and the rest of the Doc Swinson’s whiskey collection will lead to great reward.
